Event details: 30 November – 12 December 2023 in Dubai, UAE

The United Nations Convention on Climate Change Conference, COP28, will be held from 30 November – 12 December 2023 in Dubai, UAE. The South Africa Pavilion, jointly hosted by the South African Government and business, coordinated by the Department of Forestry, Fisheries, and the Environment (DFFE) and National Business Initiative (NBI) respectively, will be in the UN managed Blue Zone at COP28.

The COP28 South Africa Pavilion, provides an excellent platform for business and government to:

• Showcase South Africa’s efforts towards co-creating and implementing a Just Transition to net zero by 2050, while ensuring a resilient and competitive economy and society

• Mobilise finance for our transition, and for building resilience and adapting to a warming world

• Build credible partnerships to mobilise climate action based on transparent and credible leadership

• Support the implementation of a Just Transition in the face of existing climate impacts

We invite you to participate in our COP28 South Africa Pavilion events taking place online and in-person at the Dubai Expo City from the 1 - 11 December 2023.

Please note that all of the below events will take place at the South Africa Pavilion, Blue Zone, Opportunity Petal, Building number: OA20, Pav number: OA20G3 – Dubai Expo City

All events are open to the COP28 delegation to attend in-person – no registration required. Seats are available on a first come, first serve basis.
