The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region faces significant challenges in achieving fair transitions for its youth, particularly young women. As we draw this year to a close, our upcoming webinar will focus on scrutinising employment equity within the power and energy sector in the North African region, encompassing countries such as Egypt, Algeria, Libya, Morocco, and Tunisia.

Despite commendable progress in girls' education, the MENA region reports the lowest employment rates for women globally, as highlighted in the Global Gender Gap Report of 2022, with a gender parity ratio in unemployment at 2.69, the highest globally.

This webinar highlights effective strategies to overcome challenges and promote women's empowerment, recognising their substantial contribution to economic growth, development, poverty reduction, and community well-being.

By collectively addressing gender disparities, we aim to contribute to the overarching theme, "Together, We Can Make Inclusion in Africa’s Energy and Power Sector a Competitive Edge."

Don't miss this opportunity to be part of a crucial conversation aimed at shaping the future of gender equity in North Africa's energy landscape.
