Preparing your business for the green economy
For your business
The world is moving towards a green economy, and South Africa must do so too if it is to continue trading internationally. Our existing buildings and other infrastructure must be adapted to make the way they are operated more sustainable, and new infrastructure must be built according to green principles, so it does not use more natural resources than absolutely necessary. A lot of work needs to be done.
This is where you come in. But how do you make sure you can get some of this work?
For your future
The South African government has chosen nine areas to focus on in the switch to a green economy: agriculture; energy (clean and efficient); natural resource conservation and management (including mining); sustainable transport and infrastructure; environmental sustainability(incl tourism education); green building and the built environment; sustainable waste management and recycling; water management; and sustainable production and consumption.
